Check your prep and make sure you go over your free edge.

I've not been doing Gels for very long but I know this can happen if the prep isn't done correctly or the free edge is not sealed and sometimes if the Polish is too thick on the free edge.
What products are you using? As I know a friend of mine just had trouble with some OPIs

Are you talking about hard gel or soak off enhancements or gel polish? A little (or a lot!) more information will enable others to help you.

Hi pure. It's a hard gel from gel essentials. I've preped the nail then put the coloured gel straight on. Would I need to put a base on first? X

I done training about 10 years ago at a collage but gave it up and only recently started it back up and I'm trying different types of gels x

Perhaps then you should consider a refresher course? You'd be amazed how much has changed in the way of gels and gel polishes in the last 10 years.
