Chocolate brown Matrix

Hi all. I,m changing over to Matrix from Wella. What would be a nice mix for a warm chocolate brown level 5/6. I'm finding a little bit of root glow with the colours, so I want to avoid this. ( I hope Bluerinse is around)

Root glow? What vol u using for depositing? I use 5mg for chocolate.

HI Bluerinse, I used 6% yesterday with a dreamage 6br on level 5 natural base with 60% grey and got root glow. Should I have mixed a base? 6n. But apart from that I would like a good mix for chocolate brown. I've seen in the manual they recommend 1 part 5m and one part 6g . I'd love your opinion x

Use 10vol your only lifting 1 level

I thought you could only use 20 vol with dream age? Can you also use 10vol? x

Ahh whoops sorry my mistake, I didn't see dream age, just 6br no dream age is only 20vol x

That's was before they created the MG range its great for chocolate brown x

How long was it on for? I've never had root glow with matrix, danni I've not tried it yet but I use sync for covering high lights c

Bluerinse my client wanted 5m on all over I've only just started using matrix and not got any colour sync yet but do they do 5m in colour sync I know you said go a shade lighter in colour sync, and also if I choose the shade lighter 6m is that ok to put straight over highlights? Xxx

Yeah I put 6m in sync on white!! And left for 25 mons starting with ends first as its taking it will go a pinky violet colour but don't worry, it goes mocha after x

I remember on another post but I can't find it anywhere that you told me to mix another colour in with 5m to stop it coing a dodgy colour but can't remember what you said. Xxx

Use a W or Wn in with if it's socolor with sync you should be ok, I've never had any problems but if your just starting out maybe mix it in x

10ml Wn for every 30ml of M used
