I was thinking Koleston 4/77 but surely must add some other pigment as well. Does anyone here have a recipe for chocolate brown? I am using Wella and for this client it will be Koleston.

/77 are very chocolatey, you dont need to add anything else ,unless clients is very grey.x:Love:

4/77 is very dark, if no grey 5/77 with 9% is gorgeous because it does lift and exposes a little more warmth.
Or if using 5/77 with 6% always put a little /4 or /75 in with to give a little more chocolately tone also nicer to give clients a little extra than straight from one tube x

I will write that down, really handy advice. Many thanks.

She showed me a photo on the internet, Chocolate Brown Hair Color - Tapuki second photo however I tried to tell her she is too fair, she is really white, but she just won't accept it and says dark hair looks great on fair skin so here we go. I just hope she wont accuse me of doing wrong if she finds it too dark:Scared:

I use wella all the time but when doing chocolate brown I use sallys own make xp 4.35 it really is such a warm lovely colour :) every client loves it x

I like 5/77 me :) I think it's such a nice rich colour, and it isn't too dark either, I always find level 4 bases tend to be too dark and doesn't show the tone off as much :)

Or if you really wanted something
Abit more personal you could like do
A couple of foils just under parting with something like 6/7 + 6/5 and then use 5/77 all over just so youve a lovely rich multi tonal shine. It'd look more obvious if you was to slice the foils too :) hope this helps for ideas. But deffo for chocolatey colours id stick with the /75 or /77 :)

Make sure you mix base in if she has grey! X

How about a mix between 4/77 and 6/0?

You could or /75 is beautiful as a chocolate colour
