Hello!
I did a clients refill today, She was telling me how to e-file burns her etc and she was relieved I wasn't using one! However she said she broke her nail off in a door and the picture below is what was underneath it! Terrible! I didn't want to put a nail on it AT ALL but she wanted one (and i wasn't sure what else to do!) so i filed it down gently and put on one. I told her if it hurts or become uncomfortable to come back. Any advice as what I should do next time i see her?

***These are Unrelated questions to save me making lots of threads and annoying you all!***

How do you clean out your foot spa? Im finding it annoying/tricky washing it out and making sure it is properly clean etc pouring out water n filling up.

I have a Hen party on Saturday and will be doing manicures for £8 (instead of £12) is there anything else i could do to make them want my services? And that wont cost me anything?(terrible at nail art so that's a nono)

Its my second week in my rented area and I would like to do a groupon add, a paraffin wax manicure for £10 instead of £20. Would you other geeks recommend this? I am in croydon so not sure if it would be in the surrey or london section which would of course affect the amount of bookings.

Thank you soooooo much geeks

Wow she really did a number on her nail. It looks like it could possibly have a fungus, but at the same time, it could just be severely damaged with some leftover blood and discoloration from the door. If the discolourations grow out, then it's fine. If not, then she has something else wrong.

I know you said you're not good at nail art, but could you try rhinestones? they're fairly easy to place. and once one girl gets them, they ALL want them lol

This to me looks like a fungal infection(note the yellow in her index finger).
I would of asked her to sign a dissclamer before applying new nail.

As for your foot spa you can buy liners wich after each client you throw away.

Hen Party, some nuts & nibbles and cheap Pink Bubbly, you look after your clients thay come back...clients come first...Good Luck.

It could be fungal or damaged in another way. What about the awful nails on either side of this. Totally no shape to them at all and they look pretty bad underneath. Did she have any discolouration on the other nails or did you just infill these?

For starters, this client really needs to use some cuticle oil!!!

You said you have already put a new nail on, so I suppose is all you can do now is make sure she comes back soon for you to check it.

I agree with Shedunlop, the other 2 nails in the pic are in desperate need of attention also, it looks like she has left the time between refills way too long and they look like their is something going on under the nails, the color does not look good but it could just be the pic color.

I also agree, rhinestones are a quick easy way of blinging up a nail and it's quick and easy. Just use a good UV yop coat, put the stones in after you have applied and then cure and they should stay put.

A few of them were turning yellow. But I didnt notice anything else with her nails.
Should I recomend I take them off and do a full set when I see her next for a refill?

Hi

you said you were terrible at nail art?? nobody can be as bad as me in that area. Just the word nail art makes me feel sick. Until I came across these stencil things called smART nail art stencils. Wow they make even the most unartistic (is that a word) person look great!!! they will love it.

That nail look ouch. Did she tolerate the filing and shaping? she must have a high pain threshhold. Wow snapped it in a door???? squeamish or what?

The nibbles and fizzy wine idea is a lovely touch how about little party favours with a business card and a 15% discount voucher. I got these mini rock candies with Nails written all the way through off the internet and they get one of those in their bags too. I use the little plastic bags (from hobbycraft) tied with some pink and black ribbon (pink and black is my theme) xx

I would take the nails off and see whats going on with her own nails!!
Turning yellow not good...looks/sounds like water ect getting under acrylic.
I would phone her to come in sooner than later.
