Mizzy, the village hotel has a lovely gym, pool area! Also a not long on the bus or taxi into Leeds city centre could maybe do a bit of shopping? Or he could see if there are any football matches on that weekend in Leeds and maybe go to a match? I'm trying to think of man things to do!! Haha

I believe Leeds are playing on the Saturday as my O/H is going to see them whilst I do a little shopping :wink2:

Just booked my tickets going sat and coming back Monday. Returns are £26. Bargain and much less stressful for me than driving x

Details are on Sweet Squared website but it is a ticket only event and tickets are sold out but I know there is a cancellation list so might be worth putting your name down on that if you were wanting to go.

Hi ya you can book directly on the east coast train website. It's cheaper than trainline.com. Mucho re relaxing on the train with a drink and some grub on the way :0)
