Hi, I wonder if anyone can advise me as to the best course to go on. I did a city and guilds course years ago. I want to go back into hairdressing but I feel colours toners and bleaches have changed so much since I last used them. I have always used wella, so if anyone can advise what course to go on that will help with colour and toners. Greatful for any advise.

Did you achieve your level 2 nvq? I may b worth doing level 3 if you haven't lready.
Then decide which brand you want to use. Loreal are doing FREE Inoa courses at the moment and some colour courses start at £95 they have just launched a course book called CODE.

Wella are great by courses are expensive I hope I have been of help xx

I am not sure what level it is equivelant to. It was a 2 year full time course which at the time was the highest I could do. I did work as a hairdresser for a number of years. I am sure I must have missed the lesson when they talked about toners. I think i must have been very lucky and not needed to tone anyones hair.
I want to get a basic refresher on colour and toning.
I have looked at the wella courses but again not sure which one to do??
Thanks for your help.

If you are familiar with the colour star you can work your toners off that. It all comes with experience I like 10.8 as a toner in wella on blonde it gives a real ash look but you must watch it like a hawk xx

Where abouts in England do you live?

In Barnsley which is not all that far away. It is a refresher course, it with global hair training, Ihttp://www.globalhairtraining.co.uk/ it starts in April dates to be confirmed, but will be sunday and mondays.
.
I'm in the same boat has you need refreshing. It's a 4 day course it cost £220 and it will cover your needs, mine is colour correction and advance cutting. I haven't actually spoke to her only emailed her.

Thanks for that. My friend was telling me if wella (manchester) dont fill all spaces on the courses they run they put them down to half price or do a two for one.
I'll have a look on the global website. x

Thought about wella in Manchester, but I hate driving, i get lost at the end if my street lol.... I'm going to college in sept for level 3, so global will do for me.
