Hi I was taught to put neat low vol peroxide on the stubborn greys, dry it in with the hairdryer then go straight over with your tint mixture. I've only had to do this a few times but it's always worked for me.x

The same here, i have always done this. Down south i used to use a magic potion called God Drops, you mix it into your colour, it doesn't change it but does cover grey very well x x

normally i would use double base, on the odd occasion i have used neat tint.
i will def try neat peroxide - makes total sense, some things are so obvious you dont see them lol

Thanks folks x

You should definitely use 6% for your grey coverage, also Matrix do a great range for greys called dream age, always go a shade lighter with it though, comes out a touch dark x

I have a client that even pre-softening with peroxide still doesn't give total coverage, this is the instance I would reapply tint

Hi, have you tried colour supreme by loreal it is designed for grey hair , it works wonders with 20 vol, give it a go!!!

thanks guys, it is only about 10 hairs but they are so thick and wiry, right round her hair line.

hi, i'd pre softed the hair with 20vol liquid peroxide, dry it in then apply the tint, i was taught this 20yrs ago & it never fails!:) x
