I keep practicing and I cannot seem to get a good set, seriously affecting my confidence [emoji17] can anyone tell me where it looks to be going wrong?

I know where the flaws I see are but it would be interesting to get others opinions!

Hi well
Done on your positive attitude and for trying. The first pic is difficult to see with the dark background so no detail can be seen.
The second picture it just seems the back closes to the cuticle is not thin enough or smooth.

What you can try doing is place the bead of acrylic further down the nail instead or right at the top this makes filing easier. Alternative slope the nail downward as you apply this helps save time off your buffing filling afterwards.

I have uploaded pic close up of nails I did on friend now ignore the colour and glitter it's her choice but the cuticle area is thin and smooth and not lumpy.

It takes practice but you will get the hang of it, don't give up!!!

Thank you [emoji4] I'm doing another set tonight so will take that on board, and will post a pic, fingers crossed!

Slightly better?

A lot better. [emoji175]

Yes the cuticle area is not so thick at the back so well done. Also making the back thinner helps you in the next appointment meaning of it is thinner then to do. Re balance of fill will be quicker as the nails would be quicker to buff down.
