Hi all, this might seem like a silly question but I cut my finger on the edge of a stamping plate today, not deep but half way up my ring finger. What do you do hygiene wise with regard tp treating cliemts. plaster. gloves or both depending on treatment? Thanks.
I wasn't with a client when it hapend but was having a play with some new plates.
Thanks for any advice x

No such thing as a daft question - Daft people yes but question no ;)

Just what you said . Plaster or gloves or both depending on treatment . If you just do nails then the plaster would suffice

x

Plaster would be fine :)

You can also take the sharp edges off your stamping played by filing the edges slightly , use an old file as it will take the grit off it ;)

Thank you ladies, I start in salon on Friday and don't want to put clients off, or spread germs so was unsure what to do for the best. Yes, I only do nails at the moment, the usual stuff mani's pedi's, extensions and gel polish.

I've used the pink tech wrap before. If you are using fabric plasters take a few with you as they can fray and go a bit grubby which certainly doesn't look nice.

Good luck on Friday x

I use Steri-Strips, and finger wrap - the Steri-strips will help the cut seal really quickly and the finger wrap doesn't stick to the skin so it won't pull the cut apart when you remove it, or leave the quite as damp as a plaster, and protect you from dust, etc. I change it between clients.

Thank you ladies, I opted for using steri-strips and pink tech wrap. It worked a treat.

My first two days in salon went well, better than expected. I was hoping to cover the cost of renting the desk, but I managed to cover the cost of the rent, product cost and also managed to make a profit, I actually got tipped too :) well chuffed.
