Do baldness remedies work?

Hey hair geeks.
Just popping over to the hair side from the beauty side as I was wondering, all these bald remedies on the high street, do they actually work?

It's just my hubby is slowly going bald and I see all these treatments out there and was wondering if they are worth the money?
