I am qualified in gel nail extensions do I need a polish course?

Many gel polish suppliers will be happy to except just a manicure cert to purchase from them, however- many insurance companies will not cover you without a certificate in gel polish.

I would always recommend a course to get the best from your products, but either way, depending on your insurance company and preferred suppliers, you will need an Manicure qualification if you do not have one, and probably a Gel Polish one also x

For insurance purposes, yes. Also, if you buy your products from a reputable supplier they would ask for your qualification in gel polish before you can buy any. Some employers may also need to see a qualification in gel polish before you can carry out this treatment on clients.

My old insurance company said my gel enhancement training covered me for using gel polish as 'i had been trained to use a uv lamp' so its worth asking your insurance comp. make sure you get it confirmed in writing too (email reply etc)

The training is recommended tho, you usually learn so much more than you thought you knew! Xx
