Hi geeks.

I was wondering if anybody makes there own body scrubs.?

Ive heard of this before and it is something im interested in?

do you have any ideas or recipies lol xx

It is fairly easy to make your own body scrubs etc. However, depending on your ingredients, I think you have to get your product(s) safety tested before you can use or sell to clients.

Could be wrong, maybe one of the distributors like Steve or Dawn at Nouvatan would be able to shed more light on this for you.

I make my own lotions and potions but rarely use them on paying clients as I use gerard's skin and body range.

but if you wanted to sell the products on you would need to obtain a chemist license, think its about £100 for 3 items.

am sure in college they teach you to make your own facial masks up.

I make loads of skincare for my own use. Have given a few bits away to clients and friends.
Body/face scrub is very easy to make.

What do you use to make a salt body scrub xx

There are loads of recipes on the internet...

I've just recently made up a set of products to use on clients in various treatments. I made a body scrub, massage oil blend & a body butter/cream. Oh & a bath salt.

Strictly speaking, if you are using the products on clients, you don't need a safety assessment as this comes under the banner of 'prescribing' products to clients.

As already mentioned there are oodles of recipes on t'internet. The fragrance for my current products (as above) is a blend of essential oils that makes it smell a bit like lemon sherbet fizz & has been incredibly popular - so much so that I've got people wanting to buy some of my products. I have been advised that I can sell to existing clients without an assessment but for Jo Public to buy them then I would need it so this is something I am looking into.

I also run children's parties where they get to make their own 'smellies'. This has proven to be really popular & just lately, we've done more 'smellies' parties than pamper parties. Even my 5yr old daughter is getting a dab hand at making bath bombs, lol
