Hi geeks!
Who else here agrees that using an electric file and wearing a mask does not mean that you are a non standard salon? The biggest assumption I tend to hear is "a mask means they're using MMA because they are protecting themselves from it". This infuriates me!!!

Yes, I use an electric file but only for rebalances/backfills
And I also wear masks, when I use the electric drill and I don't want the dust going in my mouth or nose! Sometimes when I have a tickle in my throat the fumes can bring on a cough so I wear it to avoid this

This is what i used to think, now i know it's not the case.
I'd like an electric file, cos hand filing down gel extensions is no fun :(

It is too bad people would assume :( Many jobs require masks to be worn for the protection of the employees and our industry shoudn't be excluded. If we are to protect our health and well being it is important, some days the dusts gets in my eyes too and it causes my vision to get blurry and itchy/watery so on days where I know I will be doing lots of rebalances and pedicures I wear both a mask and goggles on my eyes

Some days I go in like Michael Jackson. 1 glove and a face mask. It's for my protection. If someone wants to assume I'm using MMA I welcome them to take samples from my bottles to a lab.
