I have a water cooler which clients can help themselves to. Usually they either get one on the way in or on the way out. If they get a drink before their treatment, I advise that they don't leave it on the desk as it will get a nice skin of dust on top of it, that normally puts them off . I also occassionally offer tea and coffee but also have the Creative cups with lids and the disposable paper cups with lids. I get the disposable ones from a local cash & carry. If I'm making a hot drink it is usually either before we start if I am running a few minutes late, or while they are drying.

The worst thing I've had was someone wanting eat their kebab (oh the smell!!) and I had to ask them to go outside.

Del, I can't believe someone wanted to eat a kebab at your nail desk lmao!! That made me laugh!

Going back to the original question, I work from home so prepare drinks in the kitchen obv, they have their drink on the window sill nearby but not on the nail desk itself. Most folk accept a drink and I think it adds to the relaxing experience.

I once came into the salon on my day off to find the girl who worked for me at the time chatting to her friends, one who was sat at my nail station eating fish & chips! Needless to say I was not a happy bunny.

Never had anyone wanting to eat during a nail appointment though.

Coffee, tea, water? Fine ... Fish, chips, kebabs? Simply outrageous!

I assume my cups are fine with, they have lids on and the hole to drink out of has a little pushy down thing that you can open and shut!
Also my clients are asked to keep all beverages on the window sill, not my nail desk!
