Hi, hope I can get some advice on here, I'm beauty therapist so just popped over from beauty forums. My hair is beginning really dry and brittle, I have sort of hair that I have no choice but ti use straighteners on otherwise it looks a mess, I use heat protecting spray and tried all sorts conditioners and leave in conditioners I have recently started swimming again which I know chlorine damages as well, I don't want to have to wear swim cap, is there any conditioners/treatments that are really good that I can use to improve my hair as it's now meaning my hair constantly looks flyaway, frizzy and a mess. I've ran out of shop bought options as I no they probably aren't the best to use anyway! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks xx

Hi maia

If you can afford it, Kérastase is a very good salon brand and has been proven to work.

Specifically you could try:

Bain Nutri-Thermique (Shampoo)
Masque Nutri-Thermique (Conditioner)

Before you blow dry use:

Ciment Thermique (Leave-in strengthening cream and heat protector)

After you have dried and straightened your hair use:

Sérum Oléo-Relax (Anti-frizz and adds shine)

If you follow this regime and learn how to use the products correctly, you will see a massive improvement and in the long term it will be healthier for your hair. If you want to ask any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Look into Joico too! You'll find lots of ranges at FeelUnique including Kérastase & Redken.
Around 2 years ago my hair was in the best condition it's ever been in as I was dying it with Henna suspended in cocoa butter (the ones from Lush) & I'd leave it on all night so if you can get hold of raw cocoa butter (minus the henna) it's definitely worth a go!

Due to straightening, the shaft of your hair will be damaged so you'll need a protein based treatment to rebuild & strengthen the hair from the 'core' rather than just use silicones which temporarily smooth the hair shaft, making it feel healthy & strong even though it isn't, now these don't come costly, just whisk a few eggs & leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing in cool water.

Good luck :)
