I have always used Cuticle Remover and rinsed with a pad soaked in Citrusoak as taught, have only experienced 2 greenies (on the same person) due to damage to the enhancement not prep/moisture/etc.

There should be little effort involved in removing the non-living tissue - using the Cuticle Remover loosens the tissue so all you need to do is slide it off gently with a dual tool or curette - no 'pushing' required

Yup me too....the only time i don't do a full cuticle removal is when i have done a soak off..poor things have been through enough by then..just scrubfresh. Also if its a returning client...it gets easier and easier as they don't have a build up of cuticle...the more often they return the less work is involved. Cuticle remover for me. xxxx

And me ... always start with cuticle remover the use citrussoak to clean off cuticle remover... :)

Well I am really grateful for all the replies on this subject, but it does seem that there are two camps here. One being taught the dry method and one the cuticle remover way. So maybe both ways work.

I shall probably stick to the cuticle remover method on clients as that is the way I have been taught, but on myself I will continue to do the dry method.
