Ok I've just recieved a message from a mother telling me her 7yr old gets bullied for having less than a ponytails worth of hair and could I do bob length extensions!!!!! Gut instinct is telling me she's waaaay to young am I right??? X

Defiantly far too young, she wouldn't be able to care for them :-( xx

I know I knew it :-( just thought I'd get a second opinion! It's so sad aswell! I could suggest clip ins though right? Xx

It's not just about caring for them, children's hair and follicles are far too weak to support extensions. Definitely a no no.

Yea I know I knew deep down hun I'm just soft and felt so bad :-( I've suggested clip ins and said I'd happily supply and show her how to secure them for school etc x

I know what you mean, I would do anything to prevent a child from being bullied. Maybe a ponytail piece would be an even better option than clip ins? As if the hair is that thin that it barely makes a ponytail then the clips would be visible too?

Don't know.. it would be your call on seeing the little girl. Plus, in my experience of such young hair it is so silky soft that clip ins would just slip throughout the day unless it's very backcombed (which also can be damaging on a daily basis) and I dare say she would be ridiculed for losing a clip in extension on the playground even more so than she is already.

Sad situation, kids can be so cruel

Hope you can help her x

Deco too young just say your insurance only covers from age 16. Which is true but say about the clip in extensions that's a wee shame ;-(

I think you know the answer to this question. Sometimes we have to be stern and honest for the good of someone's hair, that is why we're in business anyway. Even though we are here to make people feel better about themselves, if we feel unsure about something it's better to say no.

Thanks guys I've said no in the nicest possible way! I did know I had to its horrible! I just explained why and that she'd end up coming off worse than before :-( xx
