Hi I already offer spray tans, make up, facial massage, hair up do. But was thinking of training in ear candelling! (Hopi) but have mixed views about it. So wondered if any one had any experience or know of others who have?

Or if you know if its just a load of nonsense!?

Thing is I've heard people in past mention it was gd and relaxing. But when I read reviews it claims that its just all it's cracked up to be and so not quite sure of doing training in it.

Also thinking of doing massage only I had accident in right hand when younger so it gets very achy and worry it will just be painful to do! Can I go with hotstones or other type of massage where it won't be such a strain on my hands? Of so do I need some previous massage training? As all I have is basic facial that I did during my make up course.

Any advice would be great thanks.

Hi DLC,
I love Hopi ear candling, and think its far better than Indian head massage or other head treatments. It is super relaxing and really helps with things like tinnitus and wax build up. I really think the course is worthwhile although I will say it takes a lot of work persuading people to pay the £10-25 on the treatment as they don't really understand it!
Also, massage is hard and again it's a big expense. I had to have my basic massage qualification before doing hot stones. Have you asked your clients what they want? I found when I started that I did all the courses but people were only really interested in tans nails and lashes!
