Hi there. I've been doing eyelash extensions for about a year now and have a few clients who have been having them for that whole time just being infilled. I've had a few people saying to me that after a few infills they should then have them all taken off and re-applied. is this right? the only real reason i can see that people are telling clients this is to make more money out of them :irked: the clients that i've had who have constantly had eyelash extensions have never had any problems with their eyelashes.
If anyone out there can help me and let me know if mayb i am doing something wrong? thank you.

There is no reason why you should remove and re-apply after a certain amount of time.
If you and your client choose to do this if the lashes are looking maybe a little too dishevelled after long wear then thats fine. But there is nothing to say you must do this.
Its a bit like people thinking that after having nail extensions on for a long time, they must be removed for a while to let the nails 'breathe'-its rubbish and no harm comes to the nails or the eyelashes for that matter.

Hi therapists

i've been using flexi glue from glam lash, it's a bit hit and miss as some lashes last much longer on clients, i.e natural cycle and some lose quite a few in first 4-5 days. It could be something i'm doing in the bonding??, Any suggestions??

I always give my clients options - that way they feel like they have the choice and they are educated on ELE and the infills.

There is no reason that clients have to have infill lashes removed unless they need some good old lash rehab and this shouldnt be due to your poor work quality, its because sometimes clients dont look after their lashes like they are supposed to.

The longest running client I have had with ELE on is 4 years - she never missed an infill and when she had them removed (due to leaving me to travel overseas) her before and after photos were almost identical!!
Her sister has now taken her place and she has had them on for 3 years 4 months!

I always give new clients the run down on what they can expect from their lashes - I tell them that our glue usually takes them to 4 or 5 weeks (depending on how good their home care is) with 65% remaining lashes and then they need to come in for an infill. I then tell them that they can either grow the lashes out completly and have a new full set applied or they can come and get infills on a regular basis.

I guess i started telling them this as i prefer myself to grow them out and get new fresh full sets instead of infills - so again its totally personal preference.
This is another reason why before and after photos are a great tool - there is nothing like visual proof to make them smile :)
