Just interested to see how much we all spend relative to how many in your household.

Us: 4 adults - Tesco/Lidl £130 a week average

Have you noticed price increases or is it getting more competitive out there?

I usually go to tesco and it's usually £100 a week , went to lidl today and got everything we need for the week for £56 !!!! Will be going to lidl from now on , ours is evening meals and mainly fresh fruit for children's lunch boxes .

2 adults and a 7 year old at tesco £120 a week, mainly on my partner who eats us out of house and home! Lol

Wow that's loads! I spend £50 a week in Aldis that's for 2 adults a 10 year old and 5 year old. Obviously pick up milk mid week but that's about it.

I shop in aldi and spend around £70 a week
That's for 2 adults 2 children

I used to always shop in sainsburys and I'd say my aldi shop would cost me £110 in sainsburys

Right we've got a new Aldi opened about 3 miles away from us, I'm off there this week

Lydia you're near me, aren't you - have you been yet? X

Weekly Tesco shop £120
Aldi or lidl shop between £50-£60
That's For 2 adults & 2 children x

I have occasionally gone back to sainsburys or Tesco

Then thought bloody hell im not coming here again, it's so expensive compared to aldi

We are a family of 5
2 adults 10 year old 9 year old & 6 year old
I used to shop at tesco carefully budget and have a feeling of dread at the checkout and it cost £130 a week.
Now I shop at Aldi, buy anything and everything, I never have to say no to the kids it honestly feels like supermarket sweep in comparison and it cost my £80 a week I don't need to do a top up of milk or anything during the week other than I do buy my bread at tesco still but only because of a fussy faffy husband and that's only £2 a week!

Wow, I'm seriously shopping at the wrong supermarket!

I thought Morrisons was fairly good value compared with Sainsburys, but I think I need to head to Lidl or Aldi to save myself heaps of dosh :)

I went Saturday but aldi wasn't open then but will go when it is just to see I've never been to aldi

2 adults and one cat. £45-50 a week in Aldi and the local butcher.

We both low carb so that pushes the prices up, before it was £35-40 just shopping at Aldi.

The Aldi Cava is lovely. It really shouldn't be for £4.49.

U need to love aldi it's the best

I buy lots of meat veg fruit loo rolls so much and it's never over £70 in aldi for me a teen and a 5 year old
I used to shop at tesco and I would pay £130-£150 a week and hardly have any meat

I shop at Tesco and for the two of us it's around £50 per week including 3-4 lots of meat.

I honestly don't know if my other half would shop at aldi/lidl. He's a bit of a snob sometimes lol.

Might have to check it out though. Do you all find that it's good quality and compares well with the other supermarkets? Xx

I find aldi is better quality than lidl some of the foods have won awards over the top supermarkets super nutty granola is so good less than £2 they do 6 fruits and veg for 29p offer a week this week was a good one had stir fry veg like mini corn and mange tout onions mushrooms

Plus I can get all my tortoise food from there lol
I really struggle to get all the different types of salad bits they eat from other super markets

Quality of all their food really is great, but honestly their sirloin steak is the best I've ever had. My husband didn't want me to shop there at first. So I did a secret shop and didn't tell him. When he started saying after a cooked meal oh that was really nice tasted different to normall then I told him where it had all come from Aldi. Really is worth a try xx

Do you all count a lunch for the next day from your dinner? I feel like (compared to all of you) that my boyfriend and I spend a lot of money per week on food.

We average about £150 but have breakfasts, snacks, lunch and dinner for 7 days. We cook our dinners for four (adult) people so we can have a lunch the next day.

Mine includes making packed lunch for my husband and two of my children and all meals for 6 days a week as we usually have a takeaway one evening a week.
