Were u near me again? And u don't pop in

No it wasn't the one near you, I was a good 10 miles away [emoji5]️

That's 2 shops at lidl and approx £35 saved [emoji4][emoji4]

And when Aldi opens I'm trying there

I love Aldi, but I can't do a 'full week shop' as they only have what they have, so I often do a Sainsburys top-up of stuff they don't have. I love Aldi salmon, its half the price of Sainsburys and nicer tasting. Their own brand of most things is just as good as they branded versions, we try at least one of their own brand of something most times I go in as a trial.

Lidl is OK, I prefer their kitchen wipes for example and their washing detergent, but I'm lucking that Aldi, Sainsburys, Tesco and Lidl are all within about 2 miles walking distance. They joys of being a townie

I went aldi today want to see my receipt?? I love a nose

I have stopped buying fruit from lidl , does anyone find its not very good quality ? I've gone back to tescos for fruit [emoji53]

we tend to spend anything from £40-60 a week for two of us :/ We go to Tescos, as it's a superstore so has loads of choice and offers, is open 24 hours and is so near to us. We have a Lidl, but seeing as we don't get home from work till 7 and it closes at 8 it doesn't give us much time on a weekday to go, and it's a small store in comparison to others I've been to so when I have managed to go I haven't found everything I'm looking for. Not helped that I don't find sandwiches filling and I'm paranoid about pre-cooking meat meals to take in and re-heat to work so often our shop includes ready meals and rice pots that I try to take in every other day to work... then the "other" days I end up going out and buying something from somewhere near work- I dread to think of how much I end up spending! Being a fussy eater is a purse-killer :(

I find their hard fruit is ok but anything soft is truly on its last legs

When it was two adults it was £40-50 a week and when it's just me it's £20-25 :)

Yeh it's ok if it's eaten within 2 days just didn't last for lunch boxes [emoji5]️

Lidl's going a little downhill i was shocked when I saw a mouldy broccoli and when I told the assistant he just mumbled something and walked off!! I prefer aldi out of the two

Omg I went marks and Spencer's the other day and all I can say is wow just wow

I spent £30 on things that looked pretty and snacky

We usually shop at Asda as it is only 5 mins away and we can get everything under one roof. We usually spend around £100 for 3 adults (my mother lives with us). Lately we started shopping in Lidl more as we are paying two mortgages at the moment while trying to sell our other house, so we need to penny pinch where ever we can.

I found Lidl were good value for money and we did save on certain items, but they do not stock everything we need as they are not a very big store. So last weekend we shopped at Aldi as they opened up a few months ago not far from where we live and to be honest, I did not see any savings at all. However I did find that their veg was much nicer than Asda. The bulk of our food shop is fresh fruit and veg, which I find so expensive these days.

I love asda but there isn't one close enough to me which is a shame [emoji53]

Asda is lethal bizzle that bakery makes me so happy
