Hi! I qualified at the end of last year in mani/pedi, gel polish and acrylic extensions. I was practicing hard but then I had a bad time so wasn't able to continue the momentum. I'm qualified but I'm wanting to further my training, perfect my technique, learn more etc. Is there any way to do this other than doing the same course again? It's mainly acrylic I want to do more of and, ideally, I want to do more than a one day course learning the basics. Do some techs offer training? I have no idea about this so thought this would be the best place to ask!

I'm not sure about where you are but I know in a few countries there are apprenticeship programs you could do, maybe something like this will boost your spirits and give you the opportunity to learn more under a seasoned professional. Just a thought :)

Thanks for your reply! I'm definitely looking into apprenticeships. The main troubles I have with them are the hours, nearly all of the ones I have found are full time and because of ongoing health issues (the ones which meant I couldn't practice once I qualified), I worry about how I would cope.

I'm hoping a Nail Apprenticeship will come up rather than a general Beauty one (which is what seems to be most popular) but I'm definitely still looking into them :)
