Gel or acrylic nails

Hi,
I am hoping someone can advise.......I want to learn nail enhancements and not sure if I should do Gel extensions or Acrylic, can anyone advise?

If you're looking to be self employed I would look at your local potential client base. Which is more popular? Is there a gap in the market? Which will bring you in more money?

Personally I started with acrylic and I still find them more popular where I am.

If I had to choose id go with acrylic. I learned gel first but had such a demand for acrylic I quickly booked a course for that too as I didn't like turning people away (I offered gel but they didn't want to try it)

Always go for acrylics they stay on much better and you'll have less problems although it takes a bit longer to learn them.
