Gels get wear and tear. So not only has the nails grown out, but going past two weeks the gels are highly prone to chipping. And anything that sticks too strongly will be harder to take off.

Some clients simply don’t want to pay for a manicure every 2 weeks because their nails are still chip free & shiny. I can’t stand the growth personally but each to their own.
And Gelish always takes me 10 minutes to remove. Been using it for 4 years and never had an issue with removal even after 6 weeks of wear!

Gels have a wear window of only 2 weeks. That is the promise that the nail techs must keep to the clients. So, it doesn't matter if a client cannot afford it. It doesn't matter what the clients think of their nails after 2 weeks.
 
We use Orly and have found they wear very well and have a great range of colours. They also not animal tested and vegan.
