The Giles Autumn/Winter 2012/13 was always going to be a hot LFW ticket offering the ultimate in show-highs! The multi-award winning designer’s collection was shown on Monday 20th February 2012 at Stationers Hall, London kicking off with a gothic dark headdress covering all but the eyes (by Stephen Jones of course)!

The nail brief was inspired by singed, burnt parchment merging into virgin light and who better than Marian Newman, CND Master nail artist, to carry this off for CND? “Fingers and toes were not to match but had to be from the same family of colour,” says Marian. “We custom-blended CND Desert Suede (75%) with Sofia (25%) giving a ‘licked by flame’ effect. For toes we submerged into burnt brown combining CND Chocolate Milk, Sofia, a hint of Guava and a drop of Blackjack.”

Marian and her team created finger and toe looks on no less than 47 models (470 fingers and 470 toes) and did it in the most manic of conditions. Says Marian, “LFW is ALWAYS a challenge – this is why we love it!”
