Hi

I was wondering whether you can use a normal glitter nail vanish sandwiched between OPI Gelcolor? So normal application: base coat, 2 coats of gel colour, then 1 cost of the glitter nail varnish, then gel top coat?

Any advice would be extremely grateful xxx

I believe that normal polish needs to be totally dry before u can apply a gel top coat or it will crack - meaning the nail varnish ideally needs to be dried for at least a few hrs before using a gel top coat. i could be wrong - have u thought about buying loose glitter to sprinkle onto a stick gel colour layer before top coating instead?

If it's a regular polish you want to use I'd probably apply it after the top coat? Or use a loose glitter like above mentioned

Ah ok thank you, yes I have used loose glitter- still practising! Just wondering whether glitter varnish was possible as I've been asked by a client to use 'so elegant' nail lacquer by opi on a black! I'll show an alternate option instead then.

I've used a gel top coat over regular polish on myself before as I didn't have time to wait for them to dry properly.
You could see the polish 'move' under the top coat when any pressure was applied and it cracked pretty soon afterwards. Nightmare!
