Cult, professional hair brand, Fudge, has updated its logo to include the word 'professional'. It's a good move but one that will only mean something as long as the brand stays true to its word. Professional only products are the holy grail in today's salon - no professional wants to be undercut by the internet or TKMaxx - and Fudge are hoping that their rebrand will inspire new trade.

A statement released by the brand today explains that since, "[writing] the maverick professional brand rulebook, Fudge is the same cult brand, with the same questioning creativity and character intact, along with new depths to its uncompromising drive…Fudge Professional."

Stephanie Bruce, Head of Fudge Professional said, "The move to Fudge Professionals is a decision to ensure we are recognising our heritage and appeal - the professional hairdresser. The Fudge Professional stylist enjoys working with us as we help them to appeal to their client through new, on-trend styles and a proactive attitude towards being current.

We love that the Fudge Professional stylist is constantly striving to be on-trend and enhance their skills, whether that's through finding inspiration online or offline, from training or colleagues, or by attending and following trade shows and fashion shows.

It's a really exciting time for the Fudge Professional brand and we're determined to keep our customer, the professional hairdresser, at the forefront of our mind at all times."

Sounds pretty good, no?

Until then…geek on!
