KeraStraight, the experts in smoothing and repair treatments, are on the hunt to find six hairdressers to be a part of their UK team. The team will make their official debut at Salon International on October 12th and 13th but will also be involved in projects, seminars, shoots and educational days throughout the year. And, if that didn't sound exciting enough, the team members will also have the opportunity to travel overseas as part of this amazing initiative.

The competition opened on August 14th and will close on Friday 13th September. It's open to all fully qualified hair dressers with a minimum of five years experience and, of course, a passion for keratin treatments.

To enter, simply submit a 'before' and 'after' image showing a keratin treatment transformation (you don't have to be using KeraStraight) and two images showing your very best technical and creative skills. Fill in the entry form on the KeraStraight website and make sure that at least one of your images is from the front with the hair in full view.

A panel of judges will whittle all the entries down to just twelve finalists who will then be invited to London for auditions. In London, the finalists will have to present a look on a model to the judges and take part in a short interview. Easy, no?

Jez Barnett, Managing Director of KeraStraight, says, "We are very excited about this competition which will discover and showcase a team of creative and passionate young hairdressers who will be able to push their creative boundaries and assist KeraStraight on a whole series of projects, with the first being Salon International where we will officially launch the team members. It's definitely going to be a great opportunity for ambitious hairdressers across the country looking to take their career to the next level."

So, what are you waiting for? Good luck hair geeks.

Until then...geek on!

The Ed.
