New black hair salon coming to The Square Shopping Centre, Birmingham requires trained and motivated staff to join the team. We have two full time positions available.
We are looking for people with a sparkling personality, sociable and have a good rapport with the clients.
You will need to have a strong creative streak, as well as stamina (you’ll be on your feet all day), an interest in fashion and a passion for the industry.
Essential skills;
· NVQ level 3 hairdressing
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience
· discuss hairstyle options
· shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair
· cut or trim, dry, and style hair
· experience with working with all types of black / curly hair
· cornrow – different styles to suit weave
· weaving, closures , tracks
· perming / relaxing
· colouring hair
· clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs
· creativity
· customer service and 'people' skills
· an understanding and tactful approach
· an awareness of fashion
· willingness to learn new techniques and methods
· an awareness of health and safety issues
· social media savvy
Desirable skills;
· Experience of working with European hair
Must work a Saturday.
