Kim Lawless does a brow design course and i'm sure this includes threading. It's a lot cheaper too :)
I didn't realise Kim Lawless used threading! gonna check that out as I am looking to do threading...I know there is an asian therapist in Mididlesex who teaches threading....no more than 5 I believe in the class. maybe lelss actually......Makes sense what the girls are saying rocketeer.. an awful lot of money for things that you are probably qualified to do. They appear to have just jazzed it up and given it a spin....I bet you could do it jusst as Weezie says. The power of a concept and advertising availaable to all of us really.

You can make your own. Go girl! lol

suzie you have me utterly confused
- you saidthat never have you gone on a course that ye didnt know what to expect on the day yet HD dont really tell you

My head's wrecked

I can see what you all mean, that i should invest in threading course and adapt the service to combne all three methods etc, i suppose i am expecting miracle things from the course, how to transform a face etc hahaah how to fill in gaps, perhaps it is not possible without permanent makeup afterall

susie if u did it would u mind PM'ong me yer genuine feedback from it, ie was it worth the hype, is it beneficial to a confident waxer , is it worth the money??

maybe its the marketing yer buying into

sure is filling up a lot of threads on salon geek !!

I think Susie was trying to quote from SusanEvian's post last week.

oh ok - they are two different susans???? is it, my mistake okidok thanks a mill lynne
what do you make of it all??

Truthfully?
I just don't know. I think the training is way overpriced. I think that in the right location, and that if you jumped on the bandwagon NOW, you could exploit the market. It would take heavy promotion, celebrity endorsement and a lot of hype.
I doubt it would work for me in my little village in Hampshire. In a funky, urban salon I suspect it would do very well. In the short term. I think it's a short lived fashion thing though.

hmmmm , what makes ye say if i jumped on the bandwagon NOW, why now, before its huge huge????

Because if it really does go viral then you want to be in at the start. If you wait then there will be oodles of other people doing it and you will lose your competitive advantage.
This goes for most business ideas. You need a head start!

pretty much waht im thinking but still cant justify the money , i keep thinking about it , so perhaps i should just go with my gt then im being careful with money and all the posts on this seem to indicate it aint anything specials its all the marketing!! thanks lynn, hope the lash extension hunt is going well !!

Sorry hun, dinner interupted  yes, it was a copy and paste from someone elses thread. I'm with Lynne on this one, I think it's overpriced for what it is, I don't trust anyone who promises the moon on a stick but tells me it's a secret, and I honestly think if you are already trained and more importantly happy with the way you do brows then it wouldn't be worth it, but if you are a novice, then yes, why not learn it all under one roof.
The original thread made interesting reading but no, it didn't tempt me.
I'd sooner have a day with Kim and for that kind of money I could have a couple of days 121 with Kim.

Hi Rockateer,

I done the HD Brows and I can honestly say I really enjoyed the course. The seven steps aren't really a secret, it's just how they say a combination of threading, waxing, tinting, tweezing etc. Suppose it's just about the shape and the marketing.

I was a bit confused as to whether to do the course or not, but I'm glad I did. I too feel I was a very confident waxer/eyebrow shaper before going.

If you want to ask me anything, I'll happily answer. Not saying I can make up you mind for you, though!

xxx

So, let me have a guess at the 7 steps
Discuss requirements
Analyse

Bad girl Lynne:smack: so glad I'm going to have company when I don't make it to heaven:lol:

Now there's a thing. Do you know which brand of tint they used?

its hairwell tint re packaged in their packaging and almost trippled in price

Fancy that.
And how long do they tell you to leave it on for?

jesus is anybody FOR it???????? hahahah

I looked into this course too, and was VERY tempted but;

It would cost me about £1000, plus the money I would lose in treatments

How long would it take me to make that back! From a bit of market research it seems the top end price for this is £30, but most are £15-£20, thats a lot of brows to do before im even in profit

I already have qualifications in tinting, waxing, shaping etc. £1000 is a lot money to learn how to do whatever magic they do!

I do think its a fashionable look at the mo, but the very dark brow will prob be out of fashion come summer when everyone goes more natural lol

My conclusion was to give it a miss. I think it is way overpriced, for what it would teach me. Their marketing etc is spot on though as I really was tempted!!! Im a salesmans dream according to my long suffering husband:lol::lol:

hahahh cabinkel i too am a salesman dream
Its the marketing i bought into aswel
is it all really dark brows????
maybe ill skip it and do some other course, have a bee in my bonnet now to leaarn sommit!!

I'm a salesmans dream too. I buy into everything. I nearly did the course but decided to use the money for a wee holiday.
