Hi

I am thinking of dying my highlighted hair to a mahogany red. The base colour is dark brown and I only have a few chunky highlightes through the top section (albeit rather light).

I wanted to try a non-permanant option that will wash out in a few weeks and that will cover a sprinkling of grey at the front. But I wanted something that would not lighten my base cover when it fades/washes out (no ammonia possibly?)

I am thinking of testing a product off the shelf as (not flush enough for hairdresser)

Any help much appreciated.

hiya hun, we don't reccomend otc products on this site, no good hairdresser would recomend them.

Why not try your local training college if your low on money, their always glad for models.
