How can I fix the 'professional' mess?

Looking at your 'before' pic, I can see your cuticle had already suffered some trauma, but NOTHING in comparison to your 'after' pic. What a mess! I don't generally agree with our 'compensation nation' situation, but have you thought about sueing for damages (spelling?). Your nail bed and cuticle area look utterly abused, you should at least be compensated for the ridiculous fee you were charged. A nasty bit of nail tech-ing if you ask me. It's people like that nail tech that give others a bad rep.
Hope you're finger is now recovering.

omg! it looks really painful, and why is it not the same colour tip? just out of interest y did you not go bak to the person that did them origonally? x

rather than trying to claim any damages myself, i would be more concerned about getting techs like this more educated or out the industry.

shape up or ship out!!

She said the other nails were her own natural nails. She isn't wearing tips. And I must say I thought your own nails looked quite lovely, UKRed

I picked most of the nail glue out and put loads of cuticle oil on it, and cleaned it with antibacterial hand wash and most of the blood and mess has gone, the half of my nail pate closest to where a free edge would be is a cloudy white.. does this mean infection or its going to lift? All round the edges are dry and 'crusty' what should I use to soften them?

Can you post a clear picture of what your nail looks like now?

I will try but my phone hasn't got the greatest camera.
My tutor had a look at it today and she said it isn't infected or lifting its just like that because the tech filed through my nail plate. It is loads better today x

Oh sweetheart that looks terrible! I used to get exactly the same problem when I went to one of those places. Every time I went I came back with bleeding cuticles and also (like with you) every time they cut me they put nail polish remover on the wound which stung like a b*stard!!! :irked:

It was part of the reason I decided to become a nail tech myself... I decided I wanted to be able to do it and NOT cause pain to other people. I lost count of how many times my enhancements had blobs of my blood in them! Is it any wonder that I developed a severe allergy to the stuff??! :irked:
