Hiya everyone

I was just wonder what the average time for rebalance or infill is, I am now down to 2 hrs for full set. But it also takes me 2 hrs for rebalance and infill, surely this should be less than putting a full set of nails on.

Today I done p&w rebalance and infills they were 3 weeks old and three nails were missing, but instead of putting tips on the 3 missing I sculpted them, now I dont know if i've done that right because the three sculpted ones looked a whole lot thinner than the rebalanced/infilled ones!!!

What do you think.

If its just infills you're doing it should take less time than doing a full set, but I find a rebalance takes almost as long if not as long as a full set does.

You will reduce your times the more you practice but there is so much work involved in a rebalance it should take a longish time anyway!

Get practicing loads and your times will come down, good luck!

Hi

If you do your prep really well you shouldn't get much lifting. If your clients are losing there nails ask yourself why.. look at the balance of your finished nails is zone 1 nice and thin? Zone 3 near enough invisible with no ridge? Is zone 2 smooth and nicely arched as this is your stress area??

Are you using the correct tips for this nail shape? Are they fitted well?

After three weeks on a fresh set it should be a straight forward re balance. When you have rebalanced nails are you using too much product?? are you working too hard?? eg: filing too much of the existing product away??

You say the other nails looked thicker than your new sculpts they should look the same. Are you thinning your free edge?

There are lots of article's and tutorials on here too which may well help you more. Don't worry too much about your times at the minute that will come with practice and experience.

I take an hour 15 mins approx to do a full set, and for a re-balance i take roughly the same. However the girl who works for me takes about an hour 50mins to do a full set and about 2hrs to do a re-balance. I really wouldnt worry too much about timing, as long as you do a good job, the timing will come later.

i take roughly 1 1/2 hours for a full set and 2 hours for rebalance, so i really wouldn't worry about your timimgs. after all its the end result thats the priority. so what if it takes you longer. dont rush, these things come with practice.

Until you really find your feet so to speak a rebalance can take longer than a new set of enhancements............. with a new set you start of with a new unblemished canvass, so this reduces your time in the beginning........... A rebalance with pratice will take less..... but until you have done lots and lots it will be time wise roughly the same, make sure your product is nice and thin and build correctly, this will reduce filing time no end, a good prep will reduce the removing of lifting as there wont be any..... All this will come with time and expirience, you will get there............ it's normal so dont worry.............Keep up the fab work babe xxxx

Don't put undue stress on yourself regarding time. Been there done that, ended up taking a break from nails as I was getting all tied up in knots trying to get clients finished in a hour, (worked in a couple of salons that had clients booked in on the hour). After reading the tutorials here, I realised I was making it hard for myself, especially with the filing. I now have a renewed passion for doing nails.

Cheers
Sheryl

I took 4 hours to do the last infill/rebalance!!!!!!

on average i can get infills done within an hour and a full set with nail art done in an hour 15 mins, but this is 2 years later i used to take about 2 hours for infills and an hour and a half for full sets. it comes with practise, and i work in a salon where they only book you an hour max, i just run over as i'm not rushing and stressing myself out over it as that would worry clients and the job done wouldn't be as good.
I feel my clients are paying good money for a job well done and they want to feel pampered so rushing isn't an option.
