I do extensions mobile and hope you can help please:

- how long should be left before re-fitting extensions? A client wants bonds fitted after her micro rings are removed and another client who may want her bonds put straight back in after the three month period.

- I've just bought some nail tips as a client has a little matting so I'm going to remove the bonds to sort the matting then re-fit the bonds using the new tips. Has anyone done this? What's the best way to use these?

Thanks

Anyone able to help with this please?

As long as there is no damage to her hair you can fit at same time x

Last week I had my old bonds removed and new ones reapplied straight away in the same sitting. My hairdressers mobile too. Hth xx

Fantastic thanks so much for replying ladies.

Did you wash your hair before they were put straight back in?

X

I wash, trim and dry customers hair, no products. Shot of cold air all over, then prepare new hair etc. Giving clients hair 10 mins to cool down.

Same here. You need to wash it do there is no remover residue.

this is also what i do. you have to get rid of the residue as some of the removers are quite oily. a wee trim doesnt go amiss either given they wont have had one for a few months :)

Thanks so much for your feedback everyone, it's really helped x

Hello.

I am very new to hair exstensions. I had the mirco rings added to my hair and they last two weeks and was fallen out the next day.

I opted for I-Tip Remy with the silicon micro-beads.

My friend put these in for me, and left a few CM gap from my roots. Some of them slipped out so i re-did them myself and made your they were realyl close to my scalp. Is it best to do it this way and also out as much as your natural hair through the rnig before sliding the hair throug the bead.

Thanks

Hi

Try not to attach too close to the scalp it can be un comfortable. You should take a similar amount of hair to the hair your attaching to the ring. If there is not enough hair the hair can break and bonds slip.

Thats what happened to some of them....she out them in to thin and some my own hair and now ripped from my scalp.

It'll carry on falling out if you insist on doing it yourself as well! You need to get these done by an extensionist. I am one and still wouldn't do them myself.

When will people learn !!! When they have traction alopecia all over their scalps??? :grr:
