Just a rant i suppose but I'm just so incredibly annoyed! Last night I did my first acrylic set or well...almost!

It took me less than half an hour, including the gel polish and the nail art to do my left hand. So far so good
Then I started on the right... It took me over 1h just to do the thumb with the same sort of nail art, which wasn't something really special to begin with...
I used my 3 beads of course, and after many tries of doing it correctly, I just gave up and used like a zillion tiny beads to cover my mistakes! Of course the filling was awful after that. My nail looked liked the worst ski jump ever.
I was so disheartened I just didn't do the rest. My left hand is just so useless, but at least with gel it's easy to manipulate and correct your mistakes!
I can remember now why I had swayed off acrylics, I honestly don't know why I decided to try them again!
How can I make this better?

Practice! I used to hate doing L&P on myself too but I'm used to it now. I pick up the bead with my right hand and then swap hands for application. I actually find filing with the wrong hand more difficult.

If I didn't have my e-file, I would still be filling.....

Oh god, I'm the same, even with normal polish it sometimes look like a child painted my right hand!! :D

I'm the same as Pure. I find it much easier to get the bead correct using my right hand then to swap to apply it

I'll have to try that!
4 more fingers to go and I have a client this afternoon. How bad will it be if she sees me like this?

Whenever ppl want to look at my nails I only show them 'my good hand'

Myright hand lifts within a few days too- soul destroying! Cx

The trick is to start using your wrong hand, while you are still fresh and have lots of patience.

Well I managed to get home a little less than an hour before our appointment, so I only had time to clean a bit.
My 4 fingers stayed bare but she didn't seem to mind. If anything we laughed about it.
Seems they are going to stay like this for the rest of the week.
