Yes I too can clarify that cigarette ash removes tint stains and I have used it on many occasions
And totally agree with everything Persianista stated in last post!

I've been in hairdressing since 15 and I'm 38 now and I gotta say I still consider myself as always learning new things in hairdressing after all these years. What with new trends and changing fashions i still have to learn all the latest haircuts. Blimey I must be a slow learner it's taken me years to learn what I know.

I agree, although not very nice to do, cigarette ash is the BEST thing for removing tint, haven't done it in years though!

I also agree, that you cannot learn, even the basics, of cutting in 5 days, so I welcome the P.M,s!!

Glad to be of service :green:
I am glad you have changed your 'tune' towards the members who voiced their opinions on your courses as if they are as great as you declare nothing anyone says will change that!
It was never personal just our professional opinion.
Good luck!

Just noticed I got PMd by them too.

Threatening? Yes
Worried? No

Five days? Pah!

I'm pretty sure it took us more than five days to go over the basic behaviour and persona you must have in the salon. I'm two years qualified with three years apprenticship training and I learn something new everyday.

I'd be wary of anything that promises such quick results.

a 5 day course is something i have never even heard of ?:Scared: jeepers so going by that way back when i was a student we did 3 days practical for 2 yrs full time the other 2 days were theory ...
so someone is gonna tell me i could have done a week and half of my salon days and been a fully fledged hairdresser am sorry but that just makes me pee myself laffing !!!
i dont care how natural you are at hairdressing how can you learn all the cutting ? styling , perming , colouring, shampooing , conditioning treatments , in 5 days !!!!
we had to practice for weeks on each other just shampooing etc.. let alone the hours spent winding perms , roller sets , pin curls (granted i know not much of that happens now a days but its still basic principles of hairdressing )

the fastest course i have ever heard of is i think it was a industry leading company and that was something like 10 months full time

i dont think whoever teaches these courses can have much respect for their own training and hard work ? this is just my personal opinion
saying that on my next visit to the uk i might just book a course and see how amazing it is , i might be suprised

5 days?? Really? Took me almost year to get a perm rod to sit straight and not droop to the left!! Once I got it though I got it! (Thankfully!!) It was just the one thing I struggled with. I honestly don't think you can expect to take in everything you need in 5 days. With all the H&S, hair types, skin infections/infestations, etc etc etc.....geez! My brain hurt going to night school for 3 years! Even now I doubt myself.

i totally agree with you giggles i did not train with cobra or what ever they are called please don't put this person off fast track i know some amazing stylists who have done fast track in fact to be blunt i know stylists that have done 6 years training and still can not cut hair is a passion and design you either have it or you dont .think back to training days 1st year sweep floor make tea do reception wash hair 2nd year basic cuts 4 basic cuts you learn more as you go along intense 5 days i take my hat off to you for cramming so much in must be difficult but study study study all you can once you can do your 4 basic then you can adapt most styles to these cuts and as some of the hair stylists have pointed out training is on going because of new styles all the time so good luck and you will learn and get better as you go. also how many of us have still made mistakes after 23 years knowing how to correct that and adjust it is the skill . not saying i make mistakes I'm saying i have now and again through my career.

:)may i also mention the fast trackers i know have been a year i thought i had put that apologies so i was saying do not be put off a fast track hope i have not offended anyone good luck
