Has anyone on here ever been to iceland and the northern lights? Or done any other excursions. I want to book to go but I don't know where to start Or what else is good to do? X

I went to Finland once in the middle of the winter and the Northern Lights were easy to see. There was light for like 3 hours/day.
There were a few things to see but I guess that's in a whole other country so it's not very helpful. My suggestion is check online how many things there are for you to see/do and plan accordingly.
Definitely go in the winter though.

I went to Iceland at begin of January an it was amazing best place I've been too amazing views. I did the glacier, ice climbing, blue lagoon and quad biking and golden circle. I booked it all the activities through viator. Must place to go!!!

Thank you did you book the holiday through viator too? Can I be really cheeky and ask how much roughly it was please? It's so easy going online and booking a normal summer holiday but I don't know where to start with this.

I've literally just got back from Iceland and it was AMAZING defintley a must go to place !!! I done the northern lights tour through gray line tours. We also did the golden circle blue lagoon and all the waterfalls. We actually hired a car to do it all ourselves but you can book all of those through gray line also ! All I say is it is expensive but it's defintley worth the money so worth saving up and doing it properly !!!

Hey puddy89, we booked all the activities through viator, they are really good pick up and drop off on all the activities we did. I did air bnb the apartment stayed in was very nice. Then just went on easy jet and booked flights. I wanna say cost around 1,000 that was with all activities and eating out every night. The apartment was divided between 6 of us though so did work out cheaper. It is very expensive for food and drink. Hope this helps.
