Hello!!!
Ok, so I qualified mid October and today Ive sorted myself some insurance.
I went with The Guild of Beauty Therapists who were mega helpful.
My yearly cover came to £85, but to add stock cover (up to £1000) would be an extra £70.
I just wondered what evereyone else does insurance wise?
The stock cover wouldnt cover me for my kit being in my car while unattended, but does cover me in my house and in clients houses when mobile.
I just remember everyone saying to me when I trained, that all their policies only cost them about £60 for the year including stock, so just wondered if maybe Ive overpaid?
Obviously dont have a problem paying with insurance, but i didnt expect it to be this much and i feel a bit gutted that I didnt add on the stock cover because i cant afford it right now

Hi Hannah, it's always worth shopping around for insurance to get value for money but also to compare levels of cover. Kind regards, The Professional Beauty Direct Team

Insurance prices have risen quite steeply in the last couple of years so it doesn't sound excessive to me.

I've noticed beauty and nails are treated as two separate entities when it comes to insurance by most insurers. Are there any that cover them both within one policy?

Salon gold x I started up 3 months ago and was recommended them and they cover more for your money.

Also consider what your car insurance may or may not cover you for business use. X
