Hi guys

A few weeks ago i applied to go on my next hairdressing course for september, and today i received a letter saying i made it through to an interview for next week

Although i have plenty of nice shirts and ties with black trousers, i just wanted to wear something that i would normally wear usually smart but casual, like nice tidy jeans with chequerd shirt and a nice smart leather jacket, with leather shoes not trainers.

Would i make a good impression at my interview wearing those cloths, abit nervous now...:)

I'm not a hairdresser but a therapist but I have been to countless interviews and interviewed many people myself. I would recommend that your outfit is suited to the place of interview, if it's in a salon I would say go smart/casual but up to date with fashion as this reflects our industry. If you are going to college I would maybe go a bit smarter depending on what the interview states. As long as you are well presented and let yourself shine you will do fine! Good luck!!x

Hey thanks for the reply, my interview had gone well today and was told i need to buy full kit but bought one on my last course so no need.

Can't believe how far i've come since doing my first hairdressing course, and now i'm ready for my next one.

Well done reesy!! Here's to the next steps xxx

Hi thanks,

Now i need to save up for the course fee, still got a few more months left yet untill enrolment date. ;-)

Hi can i just ask what level course your enrolling onto and if you dont mind how much it is?? im in the process of joining my local colleges level 3 hairdressing for sept..im soo excited too.. but they havent set the course fee yet, altho they have indicated it will be in the region of £1000...was just wondering if this was similiar across the country.

Hi there

I would imagine that fee is for full time college, i only apply for part time courses because of day time commitments, but i was told for NVQ level 3 part time at my college is about £478 two evenings a week.

I'm not sure if you can get NVQ level 3 full time funded now unless your under 25yr.
