Hi All, I'm a newbie. And would like some advice please from some pros please. I want to ask if bio sculpture is still popular and if you can make a mobile living from this alone. I've been advised to train in l&p as this will always be popular and advised eventually will probably need to do it. I'm torn as I don't want to spend 700+ on a course to then need to retrain in something else if I'm not able to make a living off bio sculpture alone.
I really love the bio sculpture product and love that it's on the natural nail.
So what would you advise is more popular to invest in, im based in London and if anybody can recommend best courses that would be great. Tia

Hi, I do think it depends on areas..... I work in a salon and no one wants gels, I live 20 mins away from the salon and offer mobile treatments I have been asked for acrylic treatments from home, I need more practice for my acrylics so I offer my would be acrylic clients bio sculpture extensions where I extend the nail using gel whilst I gain confidence in acrylics x

I've been a nail tech for 16 years, I trained in all systems (L&P, uv hard gels, silk/fibreglass) then trained in bio sculpture, then gel polishes when these were launched into the market.
I now only use bio sculpture and The gel bottle inc as both are as strong as liquid & powder applied correctly. I have had my current salon 4 years and this is my main nail service. So yes I'd say you can. X

Hi
I've trained in many gel products but my fav is Bio Sculpture - I would never change, my clients love them. I have a beauty room from home and it's taken a while but I'm nice and busy x

I would definitely say yes. It's a more luxurious treatment, so choose the area wisely.

Thank you very much for your responses I think i'm going to go ahead with the bio sculpture course and it works out x

With bio sculpture is is mainly on the natural nail or do aloof of people have tips put on or silk/fibreglass?

I do more gel overlays with bio sculpture, the whole point of bio is to grow the natural nail, although we can extend a shorter nail, long stiletto nails wouldn't be suitable for example. X

Thank you for your reply- i have looked into doing the course, they do two separate ones - one for the overlays and then I can pay extra to learn to do the sculpting to extend the nail- in your opinion is it worth doing the sculpting course?
