Hi Geeks

I watched a video yesterday of a lady doing a Shellac French. Her smile lines were really crisp and looked great.:) She said that she had used a samll brush with Isopentyl on to correct any errors and to make it crisp.

Does any of you geeks also use this and how do you find it, aslo would D-sperse work the same way?

Thank You:hug:

I use d-sperse all the time and have done since day 1 when i started using shellac.
I use it to clean my smile lines. I dampen a lint free wipe with D-sperse and use it to clean away shellac from my gel brush just like you would use a paper towel to wipe off your acrylic brush. I only use my gel brush damp with D-sperse thou.
I also use the same brush to clean off any shellac on the skin if i get any and i also tidy around the cuticle area with d-sperse and using the gel brush if i have a little wobble in that area.
And i clean all my bottle necks using d-sperse too.
I couldn't be without d-sperse tbh, i think im just plain messy!

The only thing about using Isopropyl Alcohol or D-Sperse to correct your smile line is; you cannot use it on the base coat. You must do base, a coat of color (Negligee, Romantique, etc.) then your white tip.

In our Shellac Attack, we were told that if you do base, then white, you only use a DRY brush to clean up the smile line. The IA or D-sperse will compromise the integrity of the base coat.

HTH! :)

Thanks for the advise deanosnana. I must admit i didn't realise this and i have been using a damp with d-sperse gel brush to tidy up my smiles over the base coat and i haven't had any problems yet. I like to add white straight to base and finish with pink for a softer look.

Hi that is a great help. Can anyone recommend what brush you use to do the smile lines,or what brush you use to correct them. xxx

Hi Karen, we were told in the Shellac Attack to lay down a THIN coat of Negligee over base, then proceed with the french as usual.

I'm glad you are not having problems!

Thank You xxxxx
