Hi Everyone,

I did a family friend's lashes last night - her daughter is getting married in 2 weeks and so we thought we'd do them now so she can get accustomed to them and then I'll infill before the wedding.

Now - she has exceptionally small eyes and curly eyelashes... however I didn't find this too much of a problem when applying and felt I got a decent amount on - they looked really nice when finished. She's notoriously a fuss pot and so I was quite nervous about doing them as she is known to fly into hissy fits about stuff.

I gave her all the aftercare leaflets and explicitly said to her not to get them wet or near steam/hot showers etc for 24 hours while the glue sets fully. and as it's so hot at the moment I labored this point. When I checked with her this morning how they were she said she has lost at least 12 from her left eye this morning - she even sent me a picture..! after trying to ascertain why this might have happened (she was adamant she had followed the aftercare) it transpired that she had washed her face this morning with a cloth and cold/warm water, which would have been less than 12 hours after I did them.

I am relatively newish to lashes (about 9/10 months) but i have regular clients and have never had this problem ever. Now she is saying she will need to put mascara on them which I have said is going to ruin them and I may as well just remove them and give her money back..

Can anyone advise?

Could it be that her eyes were too small and lashes too curly? it was a brand new pot of glue so I know it couldn't be that. Could the water on the face so soon after the lashes being done (given the heat outside at the moment too) have caused a lot of them to drop?

I feel annoyed with myself that this has happened but also reluctant to fully take the blame as I don't feel she has followed the aftercare..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Eve

Yes it could have been the water. She could have also slept on that side and that could be why. Can't you just pop some more on??

I'm just going to do them all again for her. She put mascara on them after having some fall out from washing her face so they're ruined, she's literally got a couple left per eye.
