Set on 3-4 depending which bit I'm tanning, have it lower when doing chest etc as it gets too wet otherwise. Dial at front not too tight and on vertical spray. I go over front and back horizontally afterwards and vertically on legs.

I have mine set on 8 so that means you'd b using more spray than me doesn't it? Because I have found that one spray is too light on clients so I might just keep the 8 setting but do 2 coats? .... Uh I thought I had everything down to a tee and then last nits spray tan error happened...

8 means more tan comes out. Watch Steve from Nouvatan's video on setting the gun, it's all about combination of the dial and the front screw on bit. I'll try and find the link to it.

Scaffrey just realised you have TS20 and I have TS50 mis it the new Helia gun because that's what I have so maybe yours is different to mine?

my machine is a maximist 5008 but gun looks same as your machine, I have mine set at 9-10 oclock. so about a quarter turn to the left after you've firstly tighenend the black screw. I blast it through with gun fully openend when cleaning with soapy warm water( screw turned left many times so lets water really spray through) remember to set it back to 9 or 10 afterwards though lol. that really sorted my gun out after I was getting hardly any spray out and bursts of spray good luck.:D

A few I'm trying out. These are just after spraying. Suntana 8%. La tab 8% gold n suntana 10%. Im new to tanning and have the little piggy machine. Hvlp 550 I think it is n I'm using like 80-90ml each time. I have the gun turned down n only spray once. The tans fade nice n theres no streaking etc. but why am I using so much liquid.

Its most likely you need to adjust your gun again. Turn it til it releases no spray then up small amounts, until you can get a good amount of coverage.

Then spray slowly, or at a slower speed.

I find this works best to reduce over spray, i also feel like i have more control over the tan, as I don't have to rush. I also only spray once.

Xx

I'm loving the brownness of the suntana! Ooh I might try that, I have sample bottles upstairs,.. Anyone else with pics of suntana?

As for the gun and using too much spray. I'd suggest what others have suggested on here, get your gun with solution in it and do the towel test, adjust your settings accordingly during that process:

Helia spray tan gun trouble shooting - YouTube

YouTube video is for another machine, but use the general process to adjust your gun ;-)

She possibly shaved her legs with a razor with a moisturising strip. I understand this can cause exactly this problem.
