Just wondering what peoples opinions are of live XXL? My friend doesn't really have the money to go to a hairdressers and I said to her if she buys the hairdye I'll do it for her for free cuz I'll be getting more practice in ect (I'm currently training). She had her hair dyed black for about 6 months and keeps dying it black but it was about time to do the roots and she's decided she wants to go purple. So her aunt coloured her hair with a purple (not sure which one) on Sunday and only the roots took. Our friend put two more boxes of the live XXL cyber purple think)

Ah sorry it sent before I was ready!
*(number 46 I think) and its still not taking. I've told her to leave it a while then get it stripped and start again but I think there's a good chance shell just dye it back black.
What should I advise her to do? She's spent over £20 on live XXL now!

Omg to stop using xxl!!! I don't know why people think they can dye over black and get a colour! She needs to go to a hairdresser and get a colour correction if she wants to go purple and a lots of conditioning treatments!!! :)

Colour does not lift colour! Have you not covered colour theory yet at college?

Your friend trying to save a few quid will actually now need to spend a lot to get the desired colour.

If you have a search on here for xxl live colour you will see how much we all detest the stuff xxx

Live xxl might look a nice colour but infact could be one of the worst things to put on hair. It's horrible to get out and leaves your hair absolutely terrible. Iv had trouble with clients who have used this colour and it's taken alot to get out.

Steer well clear-it's awful! Why nottry and Get her in as a model

Tint does not lift tint so she will need to have it pre lightened first. But now she has had 3 applications of XXL on it will be harder to get all the colour out for it to be light enough to ge the desired shade. Cant you get her in your college as a model? Xx

Thankyou for all the advice I'll let her know! Somehow don't think she's gonna be best pleased! But I did tell her she'd need to have the black removed first else she'd just get root brightness with the purple..and that's exactly what's happened! As usual, in one ear and out of the other! Sigh!xx

Literally just had a phonecall from her saying she's quite happy with the colour now as it looking darker. Still gonna try and book her in for a conditioning treatment or two, will this have any affect on the colour?
