Hi I bleach bathed a client from black and applied 5.6 she would ideally like a more vibrant result Sooo was thinking if I put 6.66 and 6% on roots and then majicontrast red and 6% from regrowth to ends being careful not to put on scalp.... Has any one done this do you think will blend ok or will I need to then finish with a crazy colour to blend better??

Thanks

Anyone please??? Xx

So you mean apply majicontrast over the rest of the hair up to the regrets area? I'd personally do lots of slices using the majicontrast. But first do a test cutting to see how vibrant it will come out. Also if her hair has faded alot you may be able to put the 6.66 straight over. Only if it has faded above a base 5. Which will all depend on how much you bleach bathed it. Hope that helps

I don't think it would have faded past a base 5 :(
Yes I meant put 6.66 on roots and cover the rest of hair in majicontrast red x

That's going to be a tricky process! You also don't want to run the risk of your mid lengths and ends being brighter than your roots! I'd do a test cutting first as a safe bet. Majicontrast does lift through tint I'm not sure how well through reds.

Ok
Thanks Hun maybe I should just add majicontrast to the 6.66 then equal parts and add base to roots and hope for the best lol x

I don't think maji contrast should be added to other colours. You can use maji mix+ red to boost the colour, that can be used in tint and maji contrast.

Oh really ok Ahhhh red is really my bad area lol wish I knew more!
Thanks for your advise x

i dont really understand what you're trying to achieve?

Neither did i but ive read it about 3 times now and basically wants a vibrant red and wants to do full head majicontrast red Obvs that's not meant for full head application so doesn't want to apply it to the scalp, so wants to use 6.66 on roots and contrast on lengths and ends :)

Candis i think you would be best off using 6.66 with maji mix red, it should come out nice and vibrant, if you were just to put 6.66 on the roots and then contrast on the lengths and the roots could come out abit full! You could always put afew slices of majicontrast through aswel xXx

Ahh i seee lol i thought so!

Yeah id also say the roots would look noticeables duller than the majicontrast as its soooo bright!

If you really want to give a vibrant all over red, then bleach the hair up to a lighter orange/red colour, and apply majimix red + 20vol all over....believe it or not, this doesn't actually fade too quick and you can always refresh with a crazy colour!

Or as said above, 6,66 with red mix is also good, but it depends if you want a base and tone or a pure tone result! :) (and how much maintanence haha)

xx
:)

I was about to suggest this too. Ive done it before But I used 10vol.

Yeah, i used 20 vol as l'oreal never used lower when i did it but recently i was told they do reccomend 10 vol for darkening and white coverage now! I dont use majirel anyway now, just the odd tube here n there :)

I only used 10vol because I read somewhere that it helps to reduce fading because it doesn't lift the cuticle as much?! I don't know how true that is. Lol.

Yeah, well i use affinage colours and you use 10 vol for darkening and white coverage. when you think about it it makes sense, 20 vol will still lift your hair even when darkening which would cause it to fade quicker, this is why i never refresh ends with a permanent colour :)

Yes the higher you go the worse it is because it causes " colour blow" which is where the cuticle has been blasted open.

The colour penetrates the cuticle and comes straight back out again as to higher strength peroxide has been used, so always lower is better :) and also things like majicontrast and matrix sored and I believe most companies offer intense reds which all contain lifting agents. Like high lift blondes but red :)
