Hi everyone. Ive had one of clients contact me as shes broken her thumb nail and would like me to go and fix it before her maintenance a week today.

Normally my clients would just wait till there next appointment for this, so im unsure how to price this. Normally I charge £3 per broken nail at maintenance and then add a £2.50 petrol supplement to all treatments which dont total £10. However that means charging £5.50 for what im guessing will take around 30 mins depending if I have to soak off the remaining l&p and make a 40mile ish round trip. So I wont even cover my costs.

How would u guys suggest pricing this x

I think you should charge for the time plus costs. It is her choice not to wait and she broke it. Think like a bloke. What would a plumber do.... Lol

So if I charge £20 for an hours maintenance for the 30mins I should charge £10? X

Lol!! I think a £10 minimum charge would be in order for a call out

This is great advice - I definitely need to think more like a plumber when it comes to my pricing!!! Why am I always afraid to charge what I really know I'm worth?
