Quite a few of my ladies nails keep breaking could this be down to the Shellac? As some have it removed them re applied or could it be me? Or just how the ladies treat/look after there nails. Thanks :)

Do they have thin or damaged nails to start with? My guess is their aftercare routine, do you supply them with a sheet or information on what to do and not to do after your appointments?

They all vary really some do and some don't a lady I started doing had previously had opi gel on and when she came to me her nails were damaged and really weak her shellac stayed on fine but one of her nails broke on her last appointment she was due in tmmr but cancelled as her nails have broken and said she wants to get them back up to a good length, I don't have any aftercare leaflets currently but I do tell them the aftercare but a lot of my ladies don't really carry it on afterwards..

have you looked into the ibx treatment?

If they don't look after their nails nothing will stay on for long. :(

Also Shellac doesn't strengthen the nails and it's a product intended for already healthy and strong nails.
Have you thought about L&P or hard gel overlays for those clients were gel polish isn't suitable? Or as Faithy said IBX for a long term treatment plan?

Can you use IBX under shellac without it affecting wear? Just asking as I have the weakest nails myself, am not trained in L&P or gel yet so am looking for something to use to strengthen.
I'm not a very gd advertisment with my stumpy natural nails lol x

No I haven't really looked into other strengthening products thanks all :)

Ibx works really well under shellac and doesn't affect removal times.
