Every single season, without fail, CND delivers something special on the catwalks. It's more than nails; when it comes to fashion week CND are dedicated to a concept that merges design, fashion, style and art. Nails are no longer just nails; they are no longer an afterthought, they are part of the design process.
When you look at the showreel for the Libertine show, you can see that when Jan Arnold met Johnson Hartig, there was a meeting of minds. While the nails are fun, fabulous and feisty, what is noticeable and admirable is the hours and hours and hours of time that has gone into creating what many designers still see as an afterthought.
The nails add something to this show in exactly the same way that hair and make up does. This show proves that designers need to start taking nails seriously...I mean, who wouldn't want to inject some Jan-Arnold-coloured-energy into a show?
Watch HERE.
Until then...geek on!
