Forget all the hype about Dame Angelina Jolie, the nail industry's very own Leighton Denny has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
Despite starting his professional life as a forklift truck driver, Denny has gone on to become an influential figure in the beauty industry creating three product lines: Leighton Denny Expert Nails, Sun-Believable Expert Tan and Lip Dual Expert Makeup.
After opening his first salon in Bradford, he went on to launch a number of successful luxury salons before producing his own range of nail polishes and treatments.
"It was on my actual 40th Birthday when I received the e-mail from the Cabinet Office," Denny said. "I thought someone was pulling my leg! I am truly honoured and humbled to be recognised by Her Majesty The Queen."
Look out for 'How I Nailed It', Denny's autobiography that will be released later in the year.
