The weekend saw nail industry icon, Leighton Denny collect his MBE from Buckingham Palace. Not bad for a bloke who started out as a forklift truck driver in Bradford.
The nail expert was accompanied by hand model Nina Taylor and receive the award from Princess Anne in recognition of his success within the industry. Since entering the nail industry, Denny has built up an impressive celebrity client list, an empire of over 800 appointed salons around the world. He has taken home over 60 industry awards and has developed his own successful line of polishes, products and skincare.
And that's not all. Denny has also become one of the highest selling expert presenters on QVC, averaging a whopping £5,000 per minute in sales on new product launches.
As if that wasn't impressive enough he has used his powers to do good but supporting Breast Cancer Care and written an bestselling book, "How I Nailed It".
As they say, 'Boy done good'.
Until then...geek on!
